About Us

Hilltop Entertainment Group began as a fledgling and slightly crazy idea between Alan Martin Jr and his dad, Alan Sr.
Got the first show at a local rodeo, and there it began
Close association with several local entertainers as well as a relationship with the folks over at RadioFreeTexas had already given a glimpse into the workings of the music industry, and it was clear that there was room for a new company that would do things a little differently...a little more personal, a little more professional, and with a little more focus on the artist and integrity.
Already working with Barbara Johnson (Slow Rollin Lows) on several projects, the natural decision to include her into the partnership was almost without thought...is was just the logical way to go and has proven to provide the perfect mix of talent, perspective, and dedication.
Alan Martin Sr is "by trade" a construction manager, having worked literally around the world. With a history deeply rooted in various aspects of business and heavy industry, taking on the role of handling the business side of Hilltop was a natural progression. Also operating the parent company of Hilltop, AMA Global Serivces, LLC provides a depth of corporate stewardship to the operation as well as a commitment to always keeping the company focused on integrity and professionalism. "Senior" as he is usually called typically handles the "business" functions for Hilltop as well as corporate governance issues, day-to-day booking work, and screaming like a little girl at most shows.

was "baptized by fire" in the music industry. As the mom to Calvin "Pug" Johnson she has managed the business of Slow Rollin Lows since the first day the band came together in the garage of her Fannett, Texas home. Acting as road manager, business manager, and booking agent for the band while keeping a full-time job at a local hospital taught Barb how to effectively use her time to "cover all the bases". As a partner in Hilltop, Barb's primary responsibilities lie in our talent-buyer contracts with various venues and in planning, coordinating, and executing our large event productions. Barbara has been the driving force behind the twice-a-year "SRL FEST" shows, bringing such talent as Billy Joe Shaver, Rich O'Toole and many more to the Beaumont area. Barb also supports Hilltop's day-to-day booking efforts and still manages the business aspects of Slow Rollin Lows.
Alan Martin Jr is possibly the last hard-core music fan in existance. He makes it a point to always seek out new and obscure talent from where-ever he can find it, and he spends just about every waking minute in that search. Primary reasons for existance at Hilltop include vetting out prospective new artists and visiting prospective venues, and also providing a point-of-view from the fan perspective in all that we do. Always supporting the efforts of the company in which-ever "department" needs his help, Alan Jr is the "roustabout" of the company....going where-ever he is needed most. Alan Jr also is the guy responsible for the RadioFreeTexas "Chili when It's Chilly" annual cookoff each year and devotes a good amount of time to that event. A recent graduate of Lamar State College in Orange Texas, "Junior" is also a Specialist (E4) with the United States Army National Guard and is currently on leave from Hilltop to focus on his second deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
